Cris Collinsworth irks New York Jets' Brandon Moore

Brandon Moore is not thrilled with NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth. His frustrations seem a little misplaced.

The New York Jets guard garnered national headlines this week for his participation in the team's latest blunder. During the Jets49-19 loss to the New England Patriots, quarterback Mark Sanchez ran into Moore's backside -- and fumbled -- after Moore was knocked back by Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork. Collinsworth went on a rant about Moore being put on skates.

"The Collinsworth guy, I've never been a big fan of his," Moore told reporters Monday. "To portray it that way and to see it on TV, somebody slides into the back of you, that play happens a lot. ... I didn't know what was going on until after the game. During the game, I didn't know, and good thing I didn't know.

"Just as a commentator, I don't particularly care for him. That's just as a fan watching the games in general. ... I don't need to get into (specifics). He's ... whatever."

Collinsworth was harsh, but he was far from the only one. The quarterback fumbled after he ran into the backside of a teammate -- what does Moore want him to say?

"Oh my gosh, Vince Wilfork just threw Brandon Moore into Mark Sanchez," Collinsworth said on air, according to USA Today. "I have never seen this before in my life. Watch this, Vince Wilfork is going to throw Brandon Moore back into his quarterback, he's going to fumble the football. This is what Reggie White used to do, forklift them and just lift them off the ground.

"Mark Sanchez not expecting it, and it was the back side of Brandon Moore that knocked the ball out."

Moore and the Jets should be a little embarrassed about the play. It was comical.

Like Keith Murray once said, "It beez like that sometimes..."
