Percy Harvin sits out Vikings practice with sore ankle

The Minnesota Vikings return from their Week 11 bye Sunday against the Chicago Bears. It's unclear if Percy Harvin will be on the field when that happens.

Harvin wasn't on the field when the Vikings returned to practice Monday. The wide receiver remained in town all week to rehabilitate his injured ankle.

"Most of the swelling is gone," Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said, via ESPN Twin Cities. "It's just sore and pretty tender right now. So, we'll see how he feels when we come back on Wednesday."

Harvin sprained his ankle in three places during a loss to the Seattle Seahawks 15 days ago. Frazier initially believed Harvin would be ready after the Vikings came off their bye week. The coach denied Harvin had suffered a setback, adding the wide receiver "just hasn't made enough progress" to return to practice.

We'll have a better idea of this situation by Wednesday, but it goes without saying the Vikings will be at a major disadvantage against the Bears without their biggest playmaker in the passing game.
