Eli Manning keeps struggling as Giants fall to Bengals

The New York Giants have slipped into their annual funk.

In a listless effort that featured another poor performance by Eli Manning, the Giants were pushed around in a 31-13 loss to the previously slumping Cincinnati Bengals.

The Giants have lost two straight, and are now 13-21 in November under Tom Coughlin.

"We done been here before," defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul said, via the New York Daily News. "I hate hearing it, but we have."

New York struggled on both sides of the ball, but it's the dormant passing game that will be scrutinized this week. Manning finished 29-for-46 for 215 yards with two interceptions in his third consecutive subpar performance.

Manning has now gone 98 pass attempts without a touchdown, a career-worst drought. He hasn't thrown a touchdown in three consecutive games, which ties the longest dry spell of his nine-year career.

The speculation that Manning's fighting a tired arm won't disappear after this one. Manning addressed the issue after the game, denying he's battling any issues related to fatigue.

"I don't think so," Manning said, via Newsday. "I don't feel like it's tired."

Whatever the issue is, the Giants need to address it. The bye week has arrived at an ideal time.
