With the trade deadline looming Thursday, rumors of New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow changing teams continue swirling. But these rumored trades aren't to be confused with actual ones.
Citing a Jets source, NFL.com and NFL Network's Albert Breer reported early Wednesday that the Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars have not held any trade discussions involving Tebow.

That contradicts a report from ActionNewsJax.com in Jacksonville, which caused a Twitter scene late Tuesday when reporter Steve Wrigley wrote the Jaguars are "making a play" to acquire Tebow before Thursday's deadline.
Wrigley cited anonymous sources, but it appeared that the story was removed from the website later Wednesday.
The Jets acquired Tebow in a March 2012 trade with the Denver Broncos, giving up a fourth- and a sixth-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Jaguars owner Shad Khan directed his general manager, Gene Smith, to pursue Tebow at that time.
Tebow started at quarterback for Denver's two playoff games last season, but the Jets have sparingly used the former Heisman Trophy winner. He has attempted just three passes this season, completing two. He has rushed 23 times for 78 yards.
The trade deadline originally was Tuesday, but the NFL pushed it back until Thursday at 4 p.m. ET because of the massive East Coast storms.
Tebow won two national championships at the University of Florida and remains immensely popular in his hometown of Jacksonville. The Jaguars have struggled to attract fans for their home games in recent years.
