Perhaps the biggest tweeting trend among NFL players watching Saturday's college football games involved the gruesome knee injury suffered by South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore during the Gamecocks' 38-35 victory over Southeastern Conference rival Tennessee.
Lattimore was carted off the field and taken to the hospital after injuring the same right knee he had surgery on last year. The school later announced Lattimore, considered one of the SEC's top running backs, would be out indefinitely.
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin were among the NFL players who tweeted in support of Lattimore:
We are warriors on the field, but are human as well. I pray everyone sends prayers forth for Marcus Lattimore & others that are injured

Thoughts and prayers go out to Marcus Lattimore. Wish him a speedy recovery a great young running back.

Of course, not everyone in the NFL fraternity had something to say about Lattimore. Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison offered a pretty sweet deal to all of those Mid-Atlantic Conference fans out there:I feel so bad for marcus lattimore. Stay strong.

Tennessee Titans linebacker Akeem Ayers may have played at UCLA, but he wasn't automatically supporting the Bruins against Arizona State:

Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden was a fan of Florida's secondary against Georgia on Saturday. Unfortunately, their efforts weren't enough to stop the Bulldogs from pulling off a 17-9 win:
â@hsouza14: @joehaden23 you watching this gator secondary go to work on UGA ?! They are doing work

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline was pleased with what he saw in the first half of Kent State's contest against Rutgers:

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White was sure to remind Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray why the Bulldogs still had a chance against Florida:
Arron Murray better not be mad at anybody cause he is the reason the game is close Georgia D playing lights out
