The Jacksonville Jaguars won't have Maurice Jones-Drew when they face the Green Bay Packers  next Sunday. It's possible they'll be without him far beyond that.

Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said Monday that team doctors haven't ruled out the possibility of a Lisfranc injury for Jones-Drew, according to The Associated Press.

If it's a Lisfranc issue, Jones-Drew is facing surgery and the end of his season. New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes was sent to injured reserve earlier this month with the same injury.

Jones-Drew hurt his left foot during the Jaguars' 26-23 overtime loss to the Oakland Raiders. He downplayed the injury after the game, saying he "just got rolled up." Mularkey said there was a chance the Jaguars could sign a running back this week.

The coach had more promising news on quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who also exited Sunday's game after suffering a left shoulder injury.

Mularkey said "there's a good chance (Gabbert will) be able to play this week."

Chad Henne got his opportunity to create a quarterback controversy Sunday, but he didn't make much of it, finishing 9-of-20 passing for 71 yards.
