Running back Ahmad Bradshaw has shed some light on exactly what he was barking at New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin on Sunday at the Meadowlands.

As we told you earlier, Bradshaw was in a confrontational mood on the sideline during the Giants' 27-23 win over the Washington Redskins. According to Jenny Vrentas of The Star-Ledger, Bradshaw told Coughlin to "run the ball" as he went onto the field following a Stevie Brown interception late in the third quarter.
"A lot of my emotions kicked in, and I just wanted to help my team win as much as possible," Bradshaw said.
Earlier Monday, Coughlin chose to keep the conversation in-house, telling reporters, "that's between he and I." But he had more to say about the incident during the team news conference later in the day.
"There's never been any question about Ahmad Bradshaw's toughness, his intensity level," Coughlin said. "He plays the game hard. You know, you like to have everybody play as hard as he does. He gives it everything he's got. And so, you want people to recognize that fact. But sometimes you do have to control yourself and control your emotions. And he's working on it."

Bradshaw also addressed his animated in-game conversation and head slap of wide receiver Victor Cruz ... kind of.
Said Bradshaw: "We're all just trying to get better, trying to make each other better."
Let's mark this off as Bradshaw trying to up his unpredictability quotient. After all, somebody on the Giants has to try to fill the void left by Brandon Jacobs in the mercurial running back category.
