It looked like the Green Bay Packers were just being careful not to expose their star quarterback during a blowout, but the ailment lingered enough for Rodgers to show up on the injury report Wednesday. Rodgers was listed as limited, but Packers coach Mike McCarthy says it's not a "major concern."
McCarthy said it's hard to get backup quarterback Graham Harrell much work during the season, so the additional reps should help if he's called upon again. McCarthy isn't worried about Rodgers, however, so we won't worry about him either.
The bigger concern following Rodgers' six-touchdown game is this week's matchup. The St. Louis Rams have one of the best pair of outside pass rushers in the NFL in Robert Quinn and Chris Long. Rodgers has one of the worst pair of tackles protecting him this year.
The Rams are not a complete team, but they are much better at home. Put it this way: Don't expect Rodgers to rack up six TD passes again, no matter how his calf is feeling.Follow Gregg Rosenthal on Twitter @greggrosenthal.
