Troy Polamalu reportedly out for Steelers in Week 7

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu is unlikely to play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported.

The former NFL Defensive Player of the Year injured his calf against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5, missed Week 6 and has played in just two games this season because of injuries.

The Steelers' defense has been without major contributors throughout the season. Linebackers James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley have missed time, though Woodley could return this week.

This Steelers have been far from the dominating unit we've grown accustomed to. They rank No. 18 in scoring defense (23.0 points per game). Pittsburgh desperately misses the versatility and freelancing that Polamalu brings to the position.
