Pierre Garcon reportedly to play for Redskins vs. Bucs

Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon will be active against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, the team said. Garcon (foot) was listed as questionable and hasn't played since Week 1.

Expect the Redskins to limit Garcon's snaps as well, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Quarterback Robert Griffin III quickly connected with Garcon after the receiver signed a five-year $42.5 million deal on the first day of free agency. The two showed what to expect with an 88-yard touchdown in the season opener against the New Orleans Saints.

The Redskins are the highest scoring team in the NFL (33.0) even without Griffin's favorite receiver. But Josh Morgan and Leonard Hankerson aren't on the same level as Garcon.

It shouldn't take long to figure out how effective Garcon can be. The foot injury lingered longer than expected and it's a direct hindrance to a player who depends on speed and quickness. Pay attention to how Garcon plants and cuts and if he can get to top speed on go routes.
