Austin Collie to play for Indianapolis Colts vs. Jaguars

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie has been activated for Sunday's meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team announced.

Mike Chappell of The Indianapolis Star reports that receiver Donnie Avery will start over Collie, who suffered a concussion in the preseason and didn't play in the team's first two regular-season games.

Collie has been in and out of the lineup with four concussions over the past two seasons. There was chatter his latest setback could lead to retirement, but the wideout is committed to continuing his career.

Collie and Avery will see time across from Reggie Wayne in quarterback Andrew Luck's first AFC South matchup of his rookie season.

The Colts will be without pass rusher Dwight Freeney, who is sidelined with an ankle injury and wasn't expected to play after missing practice all week.
