Donald Driver played just three snaps during the Green Bay Packers' 30-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. A surprise to the veteran wide receiver, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
"Played in this league a long time and not to play is tough," Driver said. "No one expects it to happen, but if it happens you deal with it. I'm dealing with it in a good way."
Driver is the No. 5 wide receiver option behind Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb. Even he questioned whether or not the team would bring him back after the playoff loss the the New York Giants, and added he was open to playing elsewhere if necessary.
Despite a 'Dancing With The Stars' title in the spring, Driver has lost a few moves (and quickness) over the years. He's 37-years-old and Father Time is undefeated. The Giants went as far as to have linebackers cover Driver in the playoffs last season.
However, he could see a bump in snaps this week if Greg Jennings is out with a groin injury.
"I'm going to continue to do what I do," Driver said. "Practice well, hoping you get your opportunity to have snaps and play the game and be ready. And I'll be ready when they call."Follow Kareem Copeland on Twitter @kareemcopeland.
