After holding out throughout organized team activities, minicamp and training camp, Jones-Drew reported to the Jaguars on Sept. 2. The Jaguars removed the three-time Pro Bowl running back from the Reserve/Did Not Report list.

The Jaguars had received a two-week roster exemption that allowed them to carry 54 players this week.

The Jaguars had until 4 p.m. ET Saturday to officially add Jones-Drew to the 53-man roster for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

To make room for Jones-Drew, the Jaguars placed backup running back Keith Toston on waivers.

Fourth-year pro running back Rashad Jennings is expected to start for the Jaguars on Sunday.

Jones-Drew still is getting acclimated to Mike Mularkey's offensive system and working himself back into football shape. But if he's active, he will see action in a reserve role.
