Mike Wallace to rejoin Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday

PITTSBURGH -- Wide receiver Mike Wallace hasn't participated in any of the Pittsburgh Steelers' offseason activities, but he'll arrive in town Monday night and report to the team facility Tuesday, two team sources confirmed.

Wallace has not signed his $2.742 million restricted free-agent tender.

NFL.com and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport recently reported Wallace had informed some of his Steelers teammates that he intended to rejoin the team this past weekend.

"We're excited to get Mike back. I talk to him all the time, and you know he's one of us," quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told NFL.com and NFL Network's Kimberly Jones during halftime of the Steelers' 38-7 preseason victory over the Buffalo Bills on Saturday. "He's one of our boys, we are like family. So when he gets back, we are going to be excited."

Steelers wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery on Monday echoed Roethlisberger, saying there wouldn't be any hard feelings when Wallace returns.

Wallace caught 72 passes for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns last season, when he made his first Pro Bowl.
