Jayme Mitchell got what he wanted, even if it wasn't a good idea.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially released the defensive lineman Thursday, one day after he left the team because he was unhappy with his role.

Mitchell has underachieved throughout his career. Teams have had high expectations for him, but he hasn't produced. Quitting on the Bucs might wind up being the last thing he does as a professional.
