Jim Irsay has tweeted, and so now we must write about it. It's a personal prison from which we cannot escape.
The colorful Indianapolis Colts owner was at it again on Thursday, addressing Andrew Luck's contract situation and the blackout hysteria (hypothetically) draped over Colts Nation.
I predict no blackouts this year n#12 will b n camp on time;all drama-queens n kings please chill...media needs stories n gloom n doom sells
- Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) July 12, 2012
Translation: Irsay believes the Colts will sell out each home date at Lucas Oil Stadium during the regular season. Concurrently, quarterback Andrew Luck will be with the team for the start of training camp. Do not listen to media types who infer there is trouble brewing on either front.
That's a "Prediction"...as the Eagles say.."I could b wrong,but I'm not!!"
- Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) July 12, 2012
Translation: Though I have made these predictions, it's always possible that I'm proven wrong. Probably not, though. Don't listen to "The Dude" in matters of the Eagles.
And besides that,we need a filled and pumped up 12th man this year at home for a competitive advantage..full houses feeds The New Monster!
- Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) July 12, 2012
Translation: I don't want to relax blackout restrictions, because I want my stadium to be sold out on game days. I believe this will lead to false starts and general intimidation for our opponents.
Hey Juice/AtJuiceTime..what the hell does it matter if #12 is signed tonight or in 14 days,it matters not a iota,Mr Juice..so stand down!
- Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) July 12, 2012
Translation: It makes no difference if Andrew Luck signs on July 12 or July 28. As long as he's in camp on July 29. Don't be a jerk, Mr. Juice.
