Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy has been traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
At least that's what Colt's brother, Case McCoy, believed after reading a tweet from a phony ESPN Twitter account on Friday, according to The Plain Dealer. Colt remains with the Browns, for now, and so does this tweet from his little brother:
"Good luck Brandon! Fan of you, but my brother's pulling the lucky straw on this one! Cleveland is only going downhill!"
With his fiery sendoff to Brandon Weeden and Co. out the door, Case grew antsy:
That is... If these rumors are true!

Somewhere down the line, Case discovered his brother was still an employee of the Browns.
Fake ESPN accounts are nuts... Got me fired up over nothing! Still kinda meant what I said :/

Unfortunate handiwork by Case McCoy, but the real deal feels imminent. Tony Grossi of ESPNCleveland.com reported Friday the Browns would like to find Colt a new team and provide him with the chance to start over somewhere else.
Brad McCoy, Colt's father, was critical of the Browns' handling of his son's nasty concussion last season in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team claims that episode didn't drive a wedge between the Browns and Colt's status as starting quarterback. If they ever respond to this latest episode, we imagine they'll say the same. Despite what they do.
UPDATE: Case McCoy offered an apology Saturday for his rush to judgment.
Want to apologize for my tweet last night. It was definitely uncalled for and not at all what i stand for! Blood just runs deeper than sport

NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah reported Saturday the Browns are looking for minimal compensation for McCoy.
