Reuter: Time for an NFL lottery?

Per Phil Richards of the Indianapolis Star, Hilton's four-year contract is worth $2.642 million.

Hilton was an all-purpose threat during his 50-game career at Florida International, making an immediate impact with 41 receptions for 1,013 yards and 11 total touchdowns, including seven as a receiver, as a freshman. For his career, Hilton caught 229 passes for 3,531 yards with 24 touchdowns and added 69 carries for 498 yards and seven touchdowns as a rusher. He also averaged 12.5 yards and scored two touchdowns on punt returns along with a  27.1 average and four touchdowns on kick returns.

The 5-foot-9, 183-pound Hilton was unable to participate in the combine due to a thigh injury before running a 4.34 in the 40 at his pro day on March 9. The undersized Hilton, who mustered seven reps on the bench press at his pro day workout, is expected to compete for the No. 3 receiver role as he upgrades the team's return units, which averaged an NFL-low 3.4 yards on punt returns and 18.6 yards on kick returns.
