Brian Urlacher likely to miss Bears' OTAs

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher's rehabilitation from his late season knee injury was supposed to take about 10 weeks. With OTAs underway, it doesn't look like Urlacher will hit the field at full speed until training camp.

"At this stage, I know the defense pretty well. I'm not worried about being out there and not knowing what I'm doing," Urlacher said, via the Chicago Tribune.

When asked about his potential return to the field, Urlacher said:

"Definitely training camp, I think. The OTAs are not as important.''

It sounds like Urlacher won't suit up much or at all in next month's mandatory minicamp. This isn't a big concern because Urlacher knows the defense better than the coaches, although there should be some concern age is catching up to Urlacher.

He's coming off a solid season, but he's turning 34 years old this year and an offseason of inactivity may not help things.
