Texans don't have much at WR after Andre Johnson

Andre Johnsonunderwent knee surgery two weeks ago. Like all offseason surgeries, this one is being called minor. He's expected to be ready for training camp.

Until that happens, Lestar Jean is running with the starters at Texans practice. Yes, Lestar Jean.

For those of you not familiar with Jean, he was an undrafted rookie in 2011 that impressed the Texans last offseason. He did not record a catch during the regular season.

Behind Jean and veteran Kevin Walter, the Texans have third-round pick DeVier Posey and fourth-round pick Keshawn Martin. Both of the draft picks are safer bets to make the team compared to Jean.

We point this all out to say that Houston's depth at wide receiver is very shaky. Walter is a No. 2 receiver that should be a No. 3. The rest of the crew do not have great pedigrees.

Johnson has missed 12 games over the past two seasons. He also missed seven games in 2007. If he misses any in 2012, Texans fans may actually regret the day Houston let go of Jacoby Jones.
