Wes Welker woke up Friday morning to a report suggesting the New England Patriots are displeased with their wide receiver.
The Boston Globe reported that Welker's offseason media tour -- featuring a heavy dose of honest feelings about his contract situation -- tweaked the organization (a topic Gregg Rosenthal visited earlier today).
Welker took to Twitter on Friday to hint at the matter:
Don't believe the hype. Everyone wants to make a story. Control what u can control and move on.

Welker has signed his franchise tender but clearly is unhappy that he doesn't have a long-term deal. The Patriots desire a tight-lipped roster. They aren't thrilled with their star receiver hitting the airwaves, chatting about his contract or lack thereof.
It's surprising that Welker would continue to hint at the situation over Twitter, but we'll stop here and not fuel the hype.
