Tennessee Titans leading receiver Kenny Britt will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his knee Wednesday, general manager Ruston Webster confirmed to the Tennessean.

The surgery is being termed as "minor." (Just like all offseason surgeries.) Webster called the surgery "commonplace." Britt is recovering from a torn ACL suffered early last season.
Webster has a point that many players get a second surgery during their rehabilitation from a torn ACL. That doesn't mean it's a particularly good sign for Britt's readiness for the 2012 season. Britt said earlier this week he hopes to be ready for Week 1, but this is clearly a setback.
If the Titans can get Britt healthy, they will have a suddenly dangerous skill-position group, with rookie Kendall Wright, tight end Jared Cook, receiver Nate Washington, and a potentially revived Chris Johnson.
The more likely scenario is that Britt won't be all the way back to his old self until late in the 2012 season or even 2013.
