FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets have signed running back Terrance Ganaway, one of their sixth-round draft picks, to a four-year contract.
Ganaway, expected to back up Shonn Greene and Joe McKnight in the Jets' backfield, was taken with the 202nd overall pick -- one spot before New York also took his former Baylor teammate, offensive lineman Robert T. Griffin.
Ganaway set Baylor's single-season school records with 1,547 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns rushing last year as a senior. He could see time with the Jets as a short-yardage and goal-line back.
