Heyward-Bey, 25, was cited for alleged drunken driving April 7 after he failed a field sobriety test. A CHP officer pulled over Heyward-Bey after witnessing him speeding and weaving in his lane on the Bay Bridge around 2 a.m. Police described Heyward-Bey as "very cooperative."

Heyward-Bey, who was charged by the San Francisco district attorney's office, is scheduled to appear in court May 31.

Heyward-Bey started 14 games for the Raiders last season, catching 64 passes for 975 yards and four touchdowns. He was a first-round pick (No. 7 overall) by Oakland in the 2009 NFL Draft.
