Broncos' Elway, Fox, Manning expected at Seau remembrance

A contingent of Denver Broncos players and coaches who played with and against Junior Seau during his 20-year NFL career is expected to join retired safety John Lynch at the "Celebration of life" event held in the late linebacker's honor Friday.

Broncos defensive line coach Wayne Nunnely, who was on the San Diego Chargers' defensive staff from 1990 to 1998; Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway, who competed against Seau from 1990 to 1998; and Broncos coach John Fox, who coached the Chargers' secondary from 1992 to 1993, are expected to attend the memorial service at Qualcomm Stadium.

Peyton Manning, who played against Seau multiple times and was on several AFC Pro Bowl teams with the former Chargers linebacker, also will be in the group.

At the event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. PT, former Chargers players Dan Fouts, Rodney Harrison and LaDainian Tomlinson, as well as former San Diego coach Bobby Ross, will join Lynch in sharing their memories of Seau.

San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders also is expected to speak.
