Dolphins LB Cameron Wake's extension has $33M in base salary

Miami Dolphins linebacker Cameron Wake's new four-year contract extension has a base value of $33.2 million, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

The contract, which Wake signed Sunday, also includes $15 million in escalators to bring the total to the reported $49 million.

The deal is fully guaranteed for $17 million with $3 million guaranteed for injury only.

The 30-year-old Wake recorded 42 tackles and 8.5 sacks last year.
