The NFL recently gave the Atlanta Falcons $3 million in salary-cap credit, fallout from money owed to the team by former Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, ESPN reported on Monday.

Vick declared bankruptcy following his 2007 dogfighting conviction, and his $20 million settlement included an order to repay part of his signing bonus to the Falcons.
When he signed a six-year, $100 million deal with the Eagles last year, Atlanta began pursuing the salary-cap credit.
The NFL granted Atlanta the credits in March, before the start of the league year.
Vick's deal with the Falcons was for 10 years and worth $130 million, and included a $7.5 million signing bonus.
