Rackers kicked for the Houston Texans the past two seasons and also has played for the Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals. He is a career 80 percent field goal kicker.

The Redskins also announced the signing of linebacker Jonathan Goff. The former New York Giant will compete with Lorenzo Alexander, Bryan Kehl and rookie Keenan Robinson for a spot at back-up inside linebacker.
