New York Jets' Stephen Hill the next Megatron?

NEW YORK -- Stephen Hill was a second-round pick, but the New York Jets are putting first-round expectations on him. NFL Network's Kimberly Jones said the Jets fully expect Hill to start right away opposite Santonio Holmes at wide receiver next season.

(Then again, they don't have many options.)

Expecting a guy to start right away is one thing. Comparing him to Calvin Johnson is another. But that's the first name that came to mind when Jets vice president of college scouting Joey Clinkscales was asked for someone Hill is like.

"He's unique. He's a 6-foot-4 kid that's 215 and runs a 4.32. I mean he's a unique athlete, he really is. I mean, Calvin Johnson, maybe," Clinkscales told the Newark Star-Ledger on Friday night. "I'm not going to put that label on him, but from a height, weight, speed moniker ... you know he's just a unique athlete."

OK, so Clinksales tried to walk back the comparison a little. Perhaps he just doesn't worry about what he says publicly since there are rumors Clinksales is headed to the Raiders.
