Robert Griffin III shows he's a quote machine

It has been almost half a day since we ran into Robert Griffin III in the NFL office hallways after he learned the "deep, dark secrets" of the NFL.

Since then, Griffin has been doing what seems to come so naturally to him: charming the media. And fans. Make no mistake: It takes practice.

"I get really tired at night because I'm constantly having to . . . think of creative ways to say things so you don't think I'm boring," Griffin said this morning via the Washington Times.

Griffin does a good job. He told Washington fans out there that he'd be watching the Capitals game tonight. He talked about his budding relationship with Mike Shanahan, who said there is a "99.9%" chance the Redskins will take Griffin.

After carrying Baylor on his back, he's not worried about the responsibility of being The Franchise in Washington.

"It's pressure, yeah, but pressure doesn't bust pipes in this area," Griffin said via The Washington Post.

In another interview with SB Nation, Griffin said he finds it hard to tune out criticism.

"It is hard not to read about yourself," Griffin said. "If I'm flipping through the channels and I see myself on ESPN, of course I'm gonna stop and watch it. But I'm never gonna go look at ESPN's schedule and say when am I on. You know, I'm not gonna do anything like that.

"So it's hard to not see that stuff, which is why I knew (ESPN analyst Todd) McShay called me a fourth-round receiver, but you don't want to let that stuff fuel you. What I tell people is my friends, my family, my faith fuels me. Those types of people that bad-talk you and things like that, they increase the power of my fuel. They make my premium gas extra-premium."

All that time thinking up quotes is paying off.
