Could Matt Kalil fall to Buffalo Bills at No. 10?

There are legitimate doubts if the Vikings will take USC offensive tackle Matt Kalil with the third overall pick in the NFL draft, which means Minnesota's smokescreens are working.

So how far could Kalil fall?

"The Vikings are still a Matt Kalil team, but if he slips out of three, he could fall and be in play for Buffalo at 10," Peter King wrote Monday on

Yikes. It's hard to imagine that kind of fall happening for Kalil, but there are many teams in the top 10 with quality left tackles: Cleveland, Tampa Bay, Miami and Carolina. St. Louis and Jacksonville, however, could make sense.

Both teams have left tackles in place, but they aren't the type of players that can't be displaced by a "franchise" left tackle like Kalil. Teams always talk about taking the "best player available," and Kalil is one of the elite prospects in this draft. That's why it would be so stunning if Kalil slipped very far Thursday.
