Inside the 2012 Schedule

The Seahawks will quickly know if new quarterback Matt Flynn has what it takes to be a starter after kicking things off with a six-game stretch that includes contests against the Cardinals, Cowboys, Packers and Patriots. A Thursday night matchup against the 49ers in Week 7 will be crucial to their chances in the NFC West.

3 Key Moments
Week 2 vs. Cowboys
The battle for the final spot in the NFC playoff race could be decided in this regular-season battle. The Seahawks' 12th man gives the team a tremendous advantage at home, but that might not be enough to tip the scales in its favor.
Week 6 at Patriots
This game might not rank as a big game to Seahawks officials at first glance, but Pete Carroll will have an extra bounce in his step when taking the field against his former team. Carroll's "rah-rah" style didn't play well in New England, but the Seahawks' ability to go toe to toe with the Pats could vindicate his approach.
Week 13 at Bears
The NFC North is traditionally one of the league's most physical divisions, and the Bears fall in line with their rugged approach. The Seahawks have matched their physicality in recent matchups, but can they do it on the road in a tough environment?
