Dan Koppen agrees to return to Patriots on two-year, $6M deal

The New England Patriots have agreed to a two-year deal with center Dan Koppen, a league source said Friday.

The source said Koppen's contract is worth nearly $6 million.

A nine-year veteran, Koppen has played his entire career with the Patriots, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2003 NFL Draft.

Koppen has started all but one game in which he has played. He missed most of the 2011 season after suffering a left leg injury in the Patriots' season opener.

Koppen's replacement for that season, Dan Connolly, was recently re-signed by the Patriots.
