Lions LB DeAndre Levy reportedly set to sign tender this weekend

Detroit Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy plans to sign his restricted free agent tender when he returns to the team this weekend for the start of offseason conditioning program, a person close to Levy told the Detroit Free Press.

Levy started all 16 games last season for the Lions, collecting 109 tackles with one interception and one forced fumble.

Levy is one of ten returning starters for the Lions’ defense.

Defensive end Cliff Avril said Monday he is still negotiating a long-term deal with the team but is prepared to join the team for the beginning of offseason workouts if the two sides can reach a deal.
