Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has taken some slings and arrows lately for how he conducts business. While Meyer's behavior usually isn't something addressed here at NFL.com -- except on Albert Breer's Twitter page -- a recent story of Meyer's time at Florida concerns Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin.

Multiple sources told Matt Hayes of the Sporting News that Harvin attacked former Florida receivers coach Billy Gonzales in 2008. Harvin reportedly grabbed Gonzales by the neck and threw him to the ground before two assistant coaches pulled off the receiver. Meyer never disciplined Harvin.
"Something did happen, and something was handled," Meyer said. "I don't think it's fair to Percy Harvin or Billy Gonzales to talk about it."
Said Gonzales: "I think it's a little overblown. I mean, every great player wants his voice to be heard."
The story can't hurt Harvin now, but it paints a picture of an enabling program that spun out of control. So if you want some ammo before Breer's next Twitter rant about the greatness of Meyer, this is the article for you.
