As of the close of business Monday, there still wasn't a date for the NFL to hear the appeals of those people disciplined in the New Orleans Saints' "bounty" case, according to league sources.

The league has said the matter is to be addressed -- and the appeals will be heard -- this week, but no meetings have been scheduled. The NFL hasn't commented on the forum by which any appeals would be heard.
After the league investigated the "bounty" program that the Saints ran from 2009 to 2011, coach Sean Payton was suspended for the 2012 season, and general manager Mickey Loomis and assistant coach Joe Vitt were suspended for the first eight and six games of the season, respectively. The Saints also were fined $500,000 and docked two draft picks. Payton, Loomis, Vitt and the team are all appealing those punishments.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Monday that he hopes to meet with Payton and Loomis "later this week," and wants everyone to "move forward."
Former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who was suspended indefinitely, will not appeal his suspension.
