Saved in the list of contacts on Stevie Johnson's iPhone is the phone number of Bills teammate Ryan Fitzpatrick, or "OG Fitz" as Johnson identifies him. This is the first recorded instance of a Harvard graduate being known as an original gangster.
On Friday, Johnson told Fitzpatrick over text message he'd sign with the Bills that day if Fitzpatrick gave himself a "mohawk mullet" to go with his signature beard.
Three days later, Johnson signed a multiyear extension with Buffalo. Clearly, Fitzpatrick kept up his end of the deal:
My man Fitzmagic came thru for me & all of you. Had to sign...check it out. 13 isn't anything w/out14, now you see why

Johnson said during his news conference Monday that Fitzpatrick's new 'do was indicative of the bond in the Bills' locker room.
"It shows a lot of character on his side," Johnson said. "There are a lot of guys on this team that are like that, that will ride for each other. I'd do the same for anyone else, just like he did for me."
Over the space of about five months, the Bills have locked up both their quarterback and his top target with long-term deals, investing nearly $44 million in guaranteed money on the pair. Fitzpatrick and Johnson appear to have a very good relationship. They'd better.
