The Lions might pursue Tennessee Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan if he becomes a free agent this offseason, according to the Detroit Free Press.

An unnamed league source told the newspaper that the Lions, St. Louis Rams, Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars would be among the teams that could have interest in Finnegan.

The Lions have ex-Titans Kyle Vanden Bosch and Stephen Tulloch on their roster, and coach Jim Schwartz was the defensive coordinator in Tennessee during Finnegan's first three seasons in the NFL.

The Titans selected Finnegan in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He has 388 tackles in six seasons and was named first-team All-Pro following the 2008 campaign.
