Dolphins are second team to request interview with Mularkey

The Miami Dolphins have requested and been granted permission to interview Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey for their head-coaching vacancy, a league source said Saturday.

The Jaguars also have been granted an interview with Mularkey for their head-coaching vacancy, a team source said earlier this week.

With the Falcons preparing to play the New York Giants in Sunday's NFC Wild Card Game, the timing for the interviews hasn't been set yet.

Mularkey went 14-18 in two seasons (2004-05) as the Buffalo Bills' coach. He has been the Falcons' offensive coordinator since 2008.
