Vikings to interview ex-Bucs coach Morris for DC role

The Minnesota Vikings plan to interview former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris for their defensive coordinator position, according to a league source.

Morris interviewed with the Washington Redskins this week for a role coaching defensive backs. Interest from the Vikings leaves the status of Minnesota's current defensive coordinator, Fred Pagac, in question.

The Vikings defense ranked 21st in the NFL this season, giving up 28.1 points per game.

Morris was fired Monday as head coach of the Buccaneers following three up-and-down seasons in Tampa Bay.
