D-Wade, LeBron strike 'Superman' pose in front of Newton

When LeBron and D-Wade are using your signature TD celebration, you officially have qualified as an entertainer and icon.

Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Cam Newton sat courtside for the Miami Heat-Charlotte Bobcats matchup Wednesday, and was treated to a thriller that included Heat guard Dwyane Wade's game-winning bucket in the final seconds.

"That was a show of respect to him," Wade said, according to The Charlotte Observer. "Not showing nobody up."

Newton, who's putting the finishing touches on an outstanding debut season with the Panthers, has sat courtside at both Bobcats home games this season.

"First of all, the guy is huge," Wade said of Newton. "... I've seen him play a lot. He's entertaining. He had one of the best rookie years of any player to ever play the game."

No word if Newton's presence at the game doubled as a covert mission to recruit LeBron to the NFL. Montana to Rice. Brady to Moss. Newton to James?
