Steelers' Polamalu gets by with a little help from his friend

Brutal affair in Pittsburgh on Thursday night.

To start, both quarterbacks took a mega-whipping in the Steelers' 14-3 win.

Ben Roethlisberger was certain his leg was broken at one point, and Colt McCoy, vaulted into new mental hemispheres by James Harrison, left with no memory of the linebacker's helmet-to-helmet love tap.

And then there was this surreal sequence: Midway through the fourth quarter, All-Pro safety Troy Polamalu tweaked his right shoulder breaking up a third-and-6 pass from McCoy to Greg Little.

NFL Network's cameras followed Polamalu to the bench, where he was seen hunched over in pain as fellow safety Ryan Clark popped his shoulder back into place, yanking on the arm over and over. Team doctor, anyone?

Friends: Do not try this at home.
