Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday the chances were "very slim" that Rice would play after suffering a concussion during last weekend's 23-17 loss to the Washington Redskins.

Rice, who didn't practice Tuesday, has dealt with minor injuries all season. He missed the first two games of the season with a shoulder injury, and he has been listed on the injury report with a knee injury as well as a previous concussion in Week 10.

Ben Obomanu would start if Rice is unable to play.

Tarvaris Jackson, who has been playing through a pectoral injury since Oct. 9, took part in full practice Tuesday, and Carroll said the quarterback would take on a larger workload than he had done in previous weeks.
