It's been a disappointing season in Philadelphia, but perhaps no Eagle has had a rockier time of it than DeSean Jackson. Still, the controversial receiver said Monday that he wants to return to the team after his rookie contract expires at the end of the season.

"Yes, sir," Jackson said, according to the Eagles' official website. "That's where I'm at and this is what I love to do, play football, regardless of what the case may be."

Jackson flirted with a holdout this summer, unhappy that his production over the past few years wasn't rewarded with a long-term extension. He was benched for the Eagles' Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals after missing a team meeting and spent the end of Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots on the bench because of a coach's decision.

"It's a new week. We're moving on," Jackson said Monday. "We're all focused on what we need to do. We have five games left, and we'll give it our best effort."

The Eagles visit the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night in a game that will be shown live on NFL Network.
