Injury roundup: Leinart latest QB to go down for Texans

A quick look at the latest injury updates and reports from around the league in Week 12:

» It appears to be the worst-case scenario for the Texans, as NFL Network's Jason La Canfora was told the team believes QB Matt Leinart suffered a season-ending broken collarbone. Coach Gary Kubiak said the team would make a better evaluation on Leinart when they return to Houston.

» Falcons CB Brent Grimes pulled up lame during the first quarter with what the team later announced as a right knee injury. Starting LB Stephen Nicholas also left the game with an undisclosed injury, according to the team.

» The Buccaneers, already without DT Gerald McCoy for the remainder of the season, watched as DT Brian Price was carted off the field with a right ankle injury. Price walked out of the stadium on crutches.

» A lower back injury to long-snapper Cullen Loeffler forced Pro Bowl DE Jared Allen into snapping duties against the Falcons. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Loeffler would have an MRI exam. The Vikings also lost CB Asher Allen (knee) and S Tyrell Johnson (pulled right hamstring).

» Bengals WR Jerome Simpson limped off the field with a right knee injury during the third quarter against the Browns, while NT Pat Sims was carted off the sideline at the end of the third quarter with an apparent right ankle injury.

» The Browns were hit hard by injuries, as LB Scott Fujita (broken right hand), DE Emmanuel Stephens (strained pectoral), LB Kaluka Maiava (knee) and CB Dimitri Patterson (right ankle) all left the game. Browns coach Pat Shurmur said Fujita continued to play, while the linebacker told The Plain Dealer he doesn't think the injury is season-ending.

"NFL Replay" will re-air the Jets' 28-24 win over the Bills on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. ET.

» Bills CB Leodis McKelvin, who is also the team's main kick returner, exited with a rib injury against the Jets. ... Jets DT Mike DeVito didn't return after suffering a knee injury in the same game. Coach Rex Ryan had no update on the injury.

» Titans CB Tommie Campbell, who had an 84-yard kickoff return in the first quarter against the Bucs, was sidelined by a left shoulder injury. Coach Mike Munchak said Campbell likely sprained his shoulder and would undergo an MRI exam.

» Colts DB Stevie Brown (quadriceps) and FB Ryan Mahaffey (concussion) didn't return against the Panthers.

» Yet another injury for Seahawks WR Sidney Rice, who was ruled out after leaving Sunday's game during the third quarter. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll confirmed Rice was hit in the head, but didn't know the severity of the injury. Carroll said WR Mike Williams (shoulder), LB David Hawthorne (knee), WR Doug Baldwin (shoulder), LB David Vobora (shoulder) and LB Leroy Hill (foot) were also hurt. Hawthorne did return.

» The Patriots lost RT Sebastian Vollmer to an ankle injury at the end of the second quarter. ESPN Boston reported Vollmer, who was replaced by rookie OT Nate Solder during the second half, left the locker room with a walking boot on his right foot.

» Eagles coach Andy Reid said the only serious injury against the Patriots was LB Moise Fokou (ankle).

» Redskins starting FB Darrel Young was sidelined by a possible head injury against the Seahawks.

» The Steelersannounced during the first quarter of Sunday night's game in Kansas City that safety Troy Polamalu was being held out for evaluation after a "blow to the head."
