Plenty of hard hits -- both of the legal and illegal variety -- were passed around during Sunday's brutal Bears-Lions clash, but Detroit wide receiver Calvin Johnson appeared to take the worst blow of all when Chicago linebacker Lance Briggs popped him during the second half.
Johnson told the Detroit Free Press on Tuesday that he only had his bell run during the game and later passed a concussion test. Johnson also said he will play this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
Johnson added that he didn't have a problem with Briggs' play.
"That was a good hit," Johnson told the Free Press. "I told him that. ... It was all shoulder pad."
The Bears kept Johnson out of the end zone Sunday and limited him to seven catches for 81 yards. Johnson will look to bounce back this weekend against a Panthers secondary that ranks 14th in the NFL against the pass.
