Troy Polamalu and LaMarr Woodley did not practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, the second straight day two of the team's best defensive players were sidelined by injuries.
Polamalu suffered a rib injury during last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Woodley has been out since sustaining a hamstring injury against the New England Patriots in Week 8.
Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward (head), linebacker James Farrior (calf) and guard Doug Legursky (toe) took part in full practice for the second straight day, while wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (knee) was back after sitting out Wednesday.
Linebacker James Harrison took part in a limited portion of practice with what was listed as a toe injury.
The Steelers travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals on Sunday.
