Burress has been dealing with a stiff lower back, which caused him to sit out practice on Wednesday.
Burress said he expected to practice on Friday and be ready on Sunday.
âIt feels good,â Burress said, according to the team's official site. âIâm making progress. ⦠I missed yesterday and today. Iâll be out there tomorrow and be ready to go Sunday.â
"I just feel confident he'll be ready to roll," Ryan said.
It seems to be a similar scenario to last week, when Burress took part in limited portions of two practices, was listed as questionable, but was able to play against the Buffalo Bills. Burress shook off the injury to catch a team-high five passes for 79 yards in the Week 9 win.
Jets safety Brodney Pool (knee) was less certain. Ryan said running back Joe McKnight (toe) would be re-evaluated Friday. Both Pool and McKnight missed practice Thursday.
