Everyone could see it coming. Why not the Dolphins?
As Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow galloped into the end zone on the two-point conversion that sent Sunday's thriller into overtime, the Dolphins appeared out of sorts -- lined up in a nickel package when small children, soccer moms, even house pets were calling for a goal-line front.
"We had the wrong personnel on the field, to be honest," defensive lineman Tony McDaniel said. "They spread us out and ran it up the middle. I always knew (Tebow) was going to try to run the ball when they got in the red zone."
What else can go wrong in Miami? It's the last thing that coach Tony Sparano needs right now as he clings to his job amid an especially ugly run at home, with only one victory at Sun Life Stadium since 2009. In this case, frustrated players are calling out the scheme and -- if not by name -- a coaching staff that appeared lost at sea during Timmy's big moment.
