Like many others around the NFL, Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones is playing injured. It's all about managing the pain.

Jones, who first separated his right shoulder in Week 2 against the 49ers, has yet to miss a game. But Cowboys running backs coach Skip Peete told The Dallas Morning News that Jones "has been playing with a lot of pain."

Jones told the paper Friday that the injury is still bothering him.

"I can tell you this, it lets me know," Jones said. "It's still not 100 percent. I'm just trying to play through it and contribute and help out with my team."

Jones hasn't slowed much since the injury, rushing 14 times for a season-high 115 yards and adding 40 yards and three receptions the following week against Washington. He also gained 76 yards on 21 touches last week in Detroit.

The Cowboys' bye week presumably provided a respite for Jones, who took part in all three of the team's full practices and is probable against the Patriots.
